This course provides an introduction to parallel computing with R. It introduces to theoretical basics of parallel computing, profiling R code and to the R packages snow, NWS, multicore and foreach. Every package is applied and motivated to realistic examples.
required previous knowledge: Basics and simple programming in R. A basic understanding of UNIX / linux commands will be helpful (short tutorial).
